I was reading a thread just the other day where someone with severe mental struggles refused to seek help beyond counseling despite feeling that they needed it because they were afraid their rights would be permanently taken away and not restored once they overcame their struggles. Instead, they decided to "ride it out. We need to focus on the root of problem. Why these people feel compelled to violence in the first placeFurthermore, we need to strengthen families again. Make mental health services easier to obtain and better quality, if possible. And finally, but not least, mourn with those who have lost friends and family to the atrocities.Beyond that, there isn't really anything more we can do. Or at least, nothing we can do that wouldn't be pointlessly intrusive or even downright totalitarian.I have a family member who works there, who is thankfully okay.
