I've
modified my thoughts on gun control, I don't care anymore, each state that
continues to vote in Republicans and Democrats that side with the NRA are
responsible for what they sowed. And if a person doesn't vote, I simply don't
care what they think and they have no right to cry about continued mass
shootings. So far, at least here locally, they haven't said much about the
shooter at all. I'm actually super proud of my local media and officials - they
aren't glorifying a goddamn thing about this. But I think the media does have
an obligation to report these types of situations.I don't know how else it
could be handled. "Mass shooting, people dead. Now, the weather!"
just doesn't work, does it? I recently quit my HR job to teach English abroad.
2 weeks before my last day, an employee I had fired for sexual harassment
showed up and refused to leave. He’s not mentally stable. He said that he found
a new job but they wouldn’t let him start because we hadn’t removed him
completely from our system, which of course makes no sense. We had to call the
police to remove him. Took them 45 mins to arrive. While he didn’t seem
dangerous and didn’t brandish any thing, who the hell knows what could have
happened?
