Since the gun proponents
are so hell bent on an antiquated right, one in which the only way its purpose
could be fulfilled would be to sell nukes, then they need to have to take that
right as literally intended at the time. You cannot defend yourself against the
US govt with a semi-automatic weapon when the gov't has tanks, jets, bombers
and nukes. So this right really cannot be utilized for its intended purpose.
It's a false argument. Americans cannot form a militia against the govt
anymore.Scary but true How many conflicts have we been in against militant,
insurgent forces that blend in with the local population? And how many have we
won? Vietnam? Afghan?People who drive the
tanks and fly the drones have to sleep sometime. They have to get food from
somewhere. Fuel. They have families. Factories that make all their stuff have
to run. You think "huh, how would a man with small arms stop a tank"
but you've got it all wrong.
