Yep; lots of government money got handed out in my city a few years ago, specifically to combat the housing problem.It end ended up all going to friends of officials who had construction companies, who sold it for a nice profit to investment groups who hold the property with obscene monthly rent, with the intent of selling it to different investment groups after several years.No because the value of someones labour is tied to multiple factors, some of them beyond both the employers and employees control. You want peoples wages to increase? Deregulate which increases competition, increasing demand for the workforce. Or stop stealing a third of their income through taxes and increase their disposable income.
